Why Ben Robinson founded it
One person needed a better option. Ben realized thousands more probably did too.
After owning a CPA firm for about 15 years, Ben Robinson sold the firm in 2014 and began searching for work that felt more meaningful. He wanted to use what he knew to help other people create greater freedom in their own lives.
That purpose became clear when his wife Kelly, a mother of three, lost the virtual job that had allowed her to be present for their children. A traditional office job meant a difficult commute, expensive childcare, and less time with their family.
Ben had already trained bookkeepers inside his CPA firm and helped friends start bookkeeping businesses. He knew he could teach Kelly the skills and show her how to build a virtual business around them.
That was the turning point. While helping Kelly, Ben discovered the work he wanted to do: teach, encourage, and help people build businesses that support their lives.

The first chapter
One student became the first class. The first class became Bookkeeper Launch.
Ben believed there were many more people like Kelly, people who wanted useful work, reliable income, and the flexibility of a virtual business.
In May 2015, a simple ad and blog post brought together the first class of 30 students. By September, the program that would become Bookkeeper Launch officially began.
The course that started it all
Bookkeeping skills, business fundamentals, marketing, client acquisition, and support, brought together in one complete path.
From 30 students to a worldwide community
The idea grew. The purpose stayed the same.
As more students joined, Bookkeepers.com grew beyond a single course. It became a community, an education company, and a trusted home for people building bookkeeping careers and businesses.
